The last time I went back it was to have the LUG NUTS loosened on the tire they replaced. I could NOT remove the tire to put on MY winter Tires. I put the Cars tire wrench on the first LUG NUT and noticed it was tight, I stood on the wrench still no go, bounced on the wrench NOTHING. I weight 175LB’s so bounceing on the wrench I say I was putting 200-250FT/LB’s of force on the LUG NUT, NOT ONE CAME LOOSE of the five. When Googling - The Typical Torque Range it is 70-90 Ft/Lbs. These LUG NUTS were so tight they could have snapped while driving, thus causing an accident – NOTE: it was the Front Passenger Tire. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This was the FOURTH TIME this year I took a car back. The first THREE time were concerning the brake job on my SUV.
1. They Replaced MY Locking Lug Nuts with four mis-mached Lug Nuts.
2. Did NOT adjust the Parking Break properly – had to depress it ALL the way to the FLOOR – to get it to engauge.
3. Left out the Dust Cover that protects the Parking Break spring and piston in the rear disk from say road Salt, water and Sand (dust) from getting in.

DO NOT GO THERE!
Oh - the ONE STAR is because you have to give at least ONR STAR for the review to be posted, they don't deserve the ONE STAR.

Further:
To #3. Dust Cover for the the Parking Break
When I brought the SUV in to point out the missing Dust Cover:
Mitch said the Mechanic told him there was none there, when I came in – to have the Parking Brake adjusted. Than I ask:
a. Why was that not pointed out to me, and one ordered in when they re-adjusted the Parking Brake. After ALL they did order in the Parking Brake Hardware!!!!
b. Why did the Mechanic put the tire back on knowing the Dust Cover was missing – knowing that the inner workings are now exposed to the elements.
c. I know the Dust Cover was there – I switched out the Winter & Summer tires just weeks before the Brake Job, and it was CLEARLY there then, I look for these things!
d. The Mechanic LIED and Mitch accepted the LIE to cover up their POOR QUALITY of WORK, and tried to put the blame on the customer.

I had to wait about two weeks to get a spot to Beck to do a work on my X3 2007 car. The reason I am using this car shop repair: Its the closest to my home and its recognized by Lubrico, my warranty company (I bought this car last year together with this warranty).
Prior to the appointment time I contacted Beck with my concerns about the car and how the warranty coverage goes (as they are a recognized supplier). I was told to contact Lubrico directly as they don't manage this warranty. Fine, I did it and found the items I asked for to be fixed are covered and I informed Beck as well. At the day of the repair I was surprised they didn't do anything about the work I asked them to do, they didn't informed me about the work status (despite they promised that - I had to call them at the end of the day to find out the status of my car), but they contacted the warranty body (where previously they said I am in charge to talk with) about another issue (not related at all with the first one), that I was not aware of and not previously informed about. They took this new issue as the reason why they didn't fix the issue that I brought the car for (?). My car is still with them, so more to come...

Imagine my dismay after being told by the dealer that I needed 4 new tires & 2 new rims. Driving home, I stopped into Beck. I'd driven by their garage for years. I was greeted with a smile and the options were clearly explained to me... and guess what, I only needed 2 tires and no rims! Since July 2015, I've been a loyal customer!

Today was another example of their STELLAR service.(I didn't understand why the key in the ignition didn't work, I'd been towed by CAA... the Beck team jumped into action, assessed the situation, got pricing, and explained my options. They went the extra mile by getting me 2 extra keys for the ignition... all at a fraction of the price of the dealer.

I trust Beck, they're reliable and professional! Thanks guys, hope i don't have to see you before my next oil change!!!

I was charged $234 for a 5 minute job that normally shouldn't cost more than $100 including parts and labour. I went there to replace one of the ignition coils on my 03 honda accord. I will definitely not go there again they are not trustworthy.

Poor customer service, and dishonest. I had my winter tires put on rims this year at Beck. It was a simple transaction as it should have been. I got a flat a few weeks later. Luckily it was on a side street. So I brought my car back into becks. The tire had come off the rim. Beck put the tire back on free of charge as it was there fault. This happened 3 times over the next 6 weeks. I had to call CAA the last time. I brought the car back to Becks so they could fix their work and rectify the situation. I calmly let them know I was very upset about all of these flat tires because its unsafe, and because I have spent way too many hours running around after their mistakes. The answer I got was: your rims are a bit rusty so it's not our fault. My response: why didn't you tell me that before putting my tires on the first time, second or third time? Why didn't you use sandpaper on my rusty rims? Why didn't you use a solution on my tires after putting them on to verify that my tires were properly sealed? Why did I get no apology for my wasted time as well as the unsafe situation you put me in? And why did I have to tell you I'm upset for you to propose ( without looking might I add) that there was rust? It's time to start caring about your customers safety. It's time to stop doing terrible rush jobs. It's time you take pride in what you do. It's time to be honest.

I was disappointed when I saw this revue, as it was one of the few internet reviews where I recognized the customer. The reason I am disappointed is because you said we were dishonest, and gave poor customer service. Our only mistake was not advising you in November when you first had the tires put on to buy new rims. That said, although your rims had substantial corrosion, most of the time they can still be installed without a problem. However, the worse shape the rim is in, the greater the chance of leakage, and obviously that is what happened with your tires. Although I understand you were upset with the inconvenience we did our very best to get you back on the road quickly and never charged you an extra penny. The last time you came in, we took care of you even though we were closing and our technicians were already in their street clothes. I do understand your grievance, but I really take exception to you calling us dishonest. We have been in business since 1971, and the only way you stay in this business for 45 years is by being honest and providing excellent customer service.

I WENT IN TO GET SOMETHING VERY SIMPLE DONE. I NEEDED MY WINTER WHEELS PUT ON MY CAR. THEY WERE ALREADY SET ON THE RIM, SO ALL THE TECHNICIAN NEEDED TO DO WAS TO TAKE MY SUMMER WHEELS OFF THE WHEEL HUB AND PUT THE NEW WHEELS ON TO THE HUB AND TIGHTEN THE LUGS. I WATCHED LIKE A HAWK BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT I DRIVE AN EXPENSIVE SPORTS CAR FAR MORE EXPENSIVE THEN EVERY CAR THAT WAS AT THE PLACE OR OF ANYONE WHO WAS IN THE ROOM WAITING WITH ME. I WATCHED FROM THE DOORWAY AND LUCKILY MY CAR WAS PULLED INTO THE BAY CLOSEST TO THE DOOR SO I COULD SEE EVERYTHING.

THE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN PUT MY WHEELS LUG NUTS ON IN A CIRCULAR MOTION INSTEAD OF THE STAR PATTERN WHICH HE KNEW VERY WELL TO DO. THE STAR PATTERN FOR PUTTING THE LUG NUTS BACK ON IS TO HAVE EVEN PRESSURE ON EVERY NUT. HE PUT IT ON IN A CIRCULAR MOTION PURPOSELY SO THAT I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK WITH PROBLEMS WITH MY BRAKE ROTORS. NOBODY AT THIS SHOP KNEW THAT I HAD BEEN A TECHNICIAN FOR 3 YEARS AND HAD GIVEN UP THE TRADE TO EARN MORE MONEY THEN THAT OF A AUTO TECH. SO THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD RIP ME OFF BY DOING IT LIKE THIS AND CAUSING MORE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE FOR ME AND MY CAR. AFTER ALL BRAKE JOBS ARE THE CREAM OF THE CROP FOR MECHANICS. WHEN I NOTIFIED THE SERVICE MANAGER, HE TOLD ME HE WOULD YELL AT HIM. SO I ASKED THEM TO DOIT AGAIN SINCE I WATCHED HIM TO AN IMPROPER JOB. THE TECHNICIAN LIED AND SAID THAT HE DID IT IN A STAR PATTERN TO SAVE HIS OWN ASS AND SO THAT THE CUSTOMERS WAITING IN THE ROOM WOULD NOT BE SCARED OFF BY THIS.

THEY DID NOT DO THE JOB OVER AGAIN. I HAD TO USE MY GOOD OLD TORQUE WRENCH WHEN I GOT HOME AND ALL THE WHEEL LUGS WERE AT DIFFERENT FOOT LBS OF FORCE. THIS WOULD HAVE COST ME ABOUT 800 DOLLARS IN DOING ALL 4 OF MY BRAKE ROTORS.

THANK YOU BECK AUTOMOTIVE FOR NOTHING!
