I was recommended by a friend to this mechanical shop after my warranty expires with the dealer and after they told me my 07 Matrix was leaking brake fluid from the master cylinder and thus I would like to get a second opinion. Besides, the tranny was jerking and I had a check engine light came on.

The owner listened to my concern and he told me to wait right there. He hoisted up the car in my sight and asked me to come over to inspect the vehicle. There was no brake fluid leak. He then plugs in the scanner and found that the check engine light was actually triggered by the tranny problem he printed the report for me to go back to the dealer to claim warrant.

And in the end he refused to charge me anything as he said he treasure every referral business as he has been there for 11 years (since 1999). I could not believe the treatment I got there.

The only fault I found is the location of the shop. It's in the middle of Richmond, but inside a small mall and in the end. It's pretty difficult to find and I can well understand why the owner couldn't get any walk in business at all. I am surprised to see he does quite well with only referral business.
