Automotion Automotive Repairs, Edmonton Reviews (1)
He charged us over 600 in labor alone to replace an alternator and battery, my husband is in the business and it is a 2.5 hour job. That works out to about 300 an hour for labor!!!!!! they did tests that were not needed nor were they authorized and did as much as they could to run up the bill. Not very professional at all.
This was brought to our attention by a loyal customer. Scott's wife failed to mention that costs included having vehicle towed, diagnostics fees to identify cause of failure, repairs and taxes all authorized by Scott. Weak battery caused charging system to fail, as it has to work much harder. When alternator was removed for replacement it was noticed that alternator belt and tensioner were also worn and needed to be replaced. Scott also asked us to look into brake lights as they were staying on. This was also repaired. Since Scott worked at a parts store we allowed him to supply his own parts(not normally allowed in our industry because of warranty issues). This was more than a fair price for service provided. We have been doing this for 34 years now and pride ourselves on being thorough so repeat failures do not occur and to reduce break downs to our valued customers. To all our loyal customers Thank-you.
