Like usual I made my car reservation on travelocity.ca
So my reservation was for friday 7Pm to Sunday 7PM. (2 days)

When I arrived at Union station, the guy at the front desk told me that I will have to pay for 3 Days, because the return location close at 4:30PM on Sunday.

It was not specidied on my reservation neither on the contract.

It's the first company in Toronto, that I have seen, who did that.

I will check with Hertz company if that branch is allowed to do this.

Parking is very, very far from the front desk and not very easy to find.

Other than that car was ok.

At Union Station I will suggest you "Thrifty"/"Dollar rent a car", because they have a shuttle to the parking and you can return the car when you want. (Shuttle only work during business hours.)

FYI I usually rent from Thrifty, Avis, Budget, Entrerprise and Hertz.

We arrived at the Toronto International Airport from New York and were directed to a shuttle bus that dropped us in front of a hotel on York street. The driver told us Hertz was "two blocks that way." We don't fault his vagueness; it turned out the tiny Hertz office was really hard to find in the bowels of Union Station, a large, congested transportation hub that reminded us of Penn station. I was 5 months pregnant and my husband and I were on foot with our luggage searching for Hertz. It was miserable. It took forever. When we found it the service was fine, but slow, an $150 estimated price pretty much doubled with taxes, fees, and insurance including "a parking charge". The GPS we ordered was mediocre. But the adventure wasn't over--we had to now find the car. Apparently Hertz rents parking spaces in office buildings in Downtown. We were given a map and once again were on foot. My husband is good at directions, but it was a lot of walking and it took us an hour to find the car. Renting a car has never been so inconvenient.

I have been renting cars every weekend for the past 10 years. At first, I used to get them from all different car rental companies but my favourite for a long time was Avis. About 4 years ago, I switched almost exclusively to Hertz. It didn’t do it intentionally; I just realized that over the past 4 years I only got my cars from Hertz. Thinking about it, there are mainly 3 reasons that contributed to this fact: quality of service, wide selection of cars and competitive rates.
I have been going to the Hertz branch at union station almost every Friday for the past 4 year. And the service I receive has been exceptional. People that work there are very good at what they do. They are very friendly and very professional. They understand their client’s need and they always make sure he or she is satisfied. I also watched them help other clients on many occasions and I was always impressed. It’s been really a pleasure dealing with all of them over the years.
