Budget Car & Truck Rental

Terrible, rude customer service. Would never go back.

Although I was very happy with the car (Kia Soul) that I rented and the rate, I am very upset by the insurance scam. I told Greg the manager/owner that I did NOT want any insurance as I have my own. He then asked my if I wanted glass and tire coverage which I also declined. He then asked me to sign as per our discussion. I signed under the heading Loss Damage Waiver however this turns out to be signing FOR the insurance NOT for the waiver. I feel like I have been mislead. The extra cost for my 8 day rental was $160.00!!!! When I asked him why I was charged for this he was very flippant and said that I signed it and was therefore responsible. The person who drove me to Budget also confirmed that I specifically told Gregg that I did not want insurance. My Bad for not making sure that I was waiving and my bad for assuming his (Gregg's) honesty. I feel very victimized and will NEVER use BUDGET's services again. The moral of this story is to ALWAYS make sure you know what you are signing!
