The owner of this biz is a scam-artist. True story: a friend of mine from out of town was scammed last year for damage to a car which she rented, which was pre-existing. The owner of Lo-cost dinged her for at least $500 for dings which she didnt do.
And then....
recently, I was talking to a relative of mine who complained of getting scammed on the north shore of Vancouver for a rental....EXACT SAME CAR, exact same circumstance.
This guy (the owner) takes advantage of naive women car renters. A fact.
I'm quite sure that if I was to look into this a bit more, I'd hear of reports of more such scams from this guy at Lo-cost on Marine Dr.
This is a scam. Don't rent here.
