Mr Lube, Calgary Reviews (5)
I had a great experience at this Mr. Lube today. I waited maybe 10 minutes in line and when I got into the loading dock they informed me I would get the 'superstar' treatment as I was the only car in the bay. Andrew introduced his crew and they quickly filled my tires and fluid levels. Andrew then informed me that my oil (which I had come to get changed) looked great and that I could go about another 1000km before changing it. I'm a student who doesn't always have a ton of cash to spare for my car and this kindness meant a lot to me. So while you didn't get my business today you definitely made sure I'll come back to Mr. Lube for all my car needs. Thanks for the great customer service :)
My wife took her 2014 Kia for a oil change . The service" tech" ( thats what they call them ) told her that the oil was dirty and the manufacturer recomends a oil flush . THAT IS A LIE . Kia does not recomend oil flushes and of course the oil is black that what happens . Too bad they have to resort to " Dragons Den " overselling ! $20.00 to pour a can of $2.00 kleen flow (who knows if they even did it ) . What a nasty way to rip people off . I'M SO OUT .
I was a little offended when the little service twirp told me "you should wash the bird feces off your car" in a real smug manner.
The past week I had given birth, sold our house and my husband had left for work to Africa for 6 weeks. I had left my newborn at home for a few hours to get this damn old change done. Bird shit on my car was kind of low on my priority list!
I wouldn't go back to that location.

I came in here the other day for a quick oil change before a weekend of long driving. It was quick and done right. I didn't have to ask for them to check my fluid levels or my tires. Price is typical, and the service was well above average.
Rude, slow, pushy up-sell and poorly managed. I have had too many bad service experiences here. In fact, over the past couple of years nearly all my bad service/rude employee moments have been here. Have given them way too many chances to redeem themselves.

Finding a trend. Everyone experienced the same service I had

Until the mid-seventies, most oil changes were still being done by service stations and car dealerships. But entrepreneur Cliff Giese of Edmonton, Alberta sensed an opportunity.
Cliff invented the 'drive-thru' quick oil change concept and in 1976 opened the first Mr. Lube store in Edmonton. Never before had an oil change and lube been so fast, convenient and affordable. By 1984, Mr. Lube had 45 stores across Canada and had initiated its Canadian Franchise Program.
NOW we have 88 stores across Canada providing a full range of vital fluid services and other preventative vehicle maintenance. We're the country's leader in the industry - and still growing.
