Oh, and let’s not forget those gorgeous beachfront views... Plus, there are plenty of amazing things to do in Galveston, too, like exploring the aquarium at Moody Gardens®, splashing down the waterslides at Schlitterbahn® Galveston Waterpark and riding the coasters at Pleasure Pier. This seaport island is also home to a historic downtown area, art galleries and museums. The Strand Historic District and the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA are both great historical things to do in Galveston that embrace the town’s seafaring past.
