We were privileged to have found BowDog for our two dogs, even though it was only for a short 9 months. We typically used their services about once a week.

From the very first visit, it was clear that safety was a top priority—the staff immediately explained their collar-free policy, which we really appreciated. The facility itself is clean, well-kept, and conveniently located near Glenmore Trail and Macleod Trail.

On the first day we picked up our dogs, the staff seemed genuinely sad to see them leave and made it clear how much they adored them. From that point forward, every visit was the same: the staff remembered our dogs’ names and greeted them with so much enthusiasm. That level of care and attention really stood out to us.

Booking is also a breeze with their easy-to-use online system. As long as you book in advance, there’s usually availability. Last-minute spots can be harder to secure, but even then, we only ran into a couple of situations where we had to adjust the dates.

Overall, BowDog has been wonderful—a clean facility with friendly, caring staff who clearly take their jobs seriously and treat the dogs as if they were their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to send our pups.

I made an appointment to tour the facility first before deciding to board my pup there. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, answered all my questions and clearly have a love for their furry friends. Facility is very clean and efficiently run. I took advantage of the 2 free daycare visits for new clients and my pup loved her first visit and was good & tired after a couple of hours. Second one definitely booked and boarding coming soon! She may have a better holiday than me!

Our experience with BowDog Daycare was just okay. The manager didn’t come across as very welcoming — quite strict and not very open to answering questions or giving us a sense of comfort about where our dog would be kept. No photos were shared during the stay, and we weren’t really told much about Rifle’s day or environment. Honestly, it felt more like we were dropping him off at a strict boarding facility than a daycare. Not terrible, but definitely didn’t get the warm or reassuring vibe we were hoping for.

BowDog is one of the only places we’ll bring our dogs for boarding in Calgary. The location is amazing! They get outdoor time, lots of cuddles and the sleeping arrangements are top notch. As busy as they are, the staff truly love what they do! Our dogs are always happy and most importantly, healthy when they come home.

I planned a short notice trip. Booked my dog in for 5 days on short notice (about a days notice). They were able to accommodate me. It's always tough to put your dog in kennel. But I've been taking him to bowdog for about 2yrs now and he seems to always enjoy his time there so it is piece of mind and comforting to know that he is taken care of. My experience with bowdog has been good.
