Rented a storage unit while it was on sale saved my bacon. Very professional workers. They did paint the building
This is overdue, however Robin was AMAZING! She made this storing process very easy. I cannot state enough how tremendously knowledgeable and informative she was especially regarding paperwork, taking the time to show me to my unit, how the lock worked and all with the absolute best customer service. I very rarely write reviews, but Robin's work should not go unnoticed. She made this experience quite wonderful and because of her, I would absolutely recommend storing here - thank you again so much for your help Robin!!
DO NOT USE STORAGEMART!!!
they get robbed monthly from all locations. My locker was broken into along with several others. Pretty much every electronic i owned was stolen approximately 16k worth. The in house insurance coverage i purchased was for $7500. They were only willing to pay $1800. Don't go here take your things somewhere else.

TLDR: I expected to pay $535 over my 6 month TINY storage use, but now it will be closer to $750, even after their free month. Not the cheap option that I was hoping for.
I spent a fair amount of time researching affordable storage options and was pleased to find StorageMart, which was conveniently located near my home and appeared to be one of the more cost-effective choices. I booked a unit online and was charged immediately.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit the facility on the scheduled move-in date to sign the necessary documents. When I called the following day to explain, I was informed that my reservation had already been canceled—without a refund for the payment I had made.
Despite this setback, I decided to rebook and repay for the unit, expecting the monthly cost to be $107 as originally advertised. However, when I received my first bill, I was surprised to see a charge of $140. I was told this included a mandatory $31 fee for "Value Coverage," something that was neither clearly disclosed during the sign-up process nor mentioned when I moved in. I don’t require coverage, as the majority of items in the unit have little to no value and are likely to be discarded in the future.
Upon reviewing the agreement more closely, I did notice a brief reference to Value Coverage being applied, but at no point was the cost of this coverage specified.
I’m frustrated and disappointed by the lack of transparency. With the added cost, StorageMart is no longer the most affordable option I found.

Bait & Switch - We rented a unit and in the 4th month when we received the invoice for the 5th month it stated there was a 15% increase charging $27 a month more (15 calendar days notice). Online it still showed the same old amounts without an increase. Matthew (StorageMart Manager of 8401 18 St, Edmonton) advised there is no contract so they can increase the price at any time and that the online price is promotional pricing, online does NOT specify that the prices are promotional only. We believe it is underhanded & deceitful to wait until people have their storage locker full of items to then increase the price significantly on individual units based on length of time rented. It is also deceitful to not inform potential customers that the initial price is promotional for only 4 months. Since then I read many reviews stating the same and spoke to other StorageMart customers that said their locker cost was increased every 4 months. A couple of people even asked if the Bait & Switch is even legal? Recommend NOT using StorageMart unless you are storing for less than 4 months.
A long overdue review! This location specifically is awesome! Matthew was very patient and knowledgeable to work with. Very competitive pricing and accommodating, which was important to me! The space ranges for what you need. I highly recommend their business! Very easy to get to and excellent security! Thank you again, Matthew!!
The location was hard to find the first time, better signage would help in this regard.
Once found, however, the service was very helpful and pleasant. Matthew went out of his way to make things easy for me and l felt the terms were very reasonable. I would go the them again very happily for my storage needs.
