This place is huge with lots of units and loading bays to stay out of the elements which is convenient. The Dollie’s they have at the facility were convenient but a couple of them needed oil. I suggest creating more loading docks around the whole property to make the move more efficient. As some of the units are almost a mile away from the loading dock and I got lost just trying to find the unit I was moving into. Having access to a map online in the portal would help however there are maps on the wall inside this would be an added convenience to customers with this matter. There was a bit of a mix up with the accounts but they were quick to help resolve the issues. Online sign up/sign in was a breeze for the most part and ability to pay by debit card online is efficient. Manager Edward was very helpful and Trista was an absolute miracle worker getting me a new unit closer to the loading bay so I could be out before they closed at 10 pm.

I have been using this location ever since as Ashish and Edward is so helpful in providing good service. Really nice and polite guys. They make sure that you will get the proper size to store your valuables. I really recommend this location.

The staff in the office showed me several storage rooms and help me choose one with best access. They explained the promotion I was offered and made everything so easy. I am confident that my goods will be in a good place with them.

This is my first experience having to use a storage company for a big move 9 months ago, I am very happy the decision was made for this location. Excellent and friendly customer service from staff Wendy and Edward, they really do go above and beyond, very helpful!
Exceptionally clean too! I highly recommend this great location for reliable storage and service!

P.S. it’s also nice to have a Tim Hortons across the street.

EDIT: Great staff at this location, but those in power had the opportunity to clarify and avoided the issue. If you could give me an amount I would be paying once the promotion ends, I would consider moving in, but without knowing this, why would I go to the inconvenience and expense to move my storage only to have you set the rate at something unaffordable? Certainly you can give a minimum/maximum scenario. Would you buy something without knowing what you'll be paying?
Nice staff, but they can’t tell me how much I’ll be paying. Why would I move in under those circumstances?

Honestly wanna make this super clear staff is great. Wendy is honestly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and the other gentleman is really there to help you out. I feel bad to review it so bad because they really are good people. If you scroll down you’ll see some reviews that say if it wasn’t for them they’d leave this place.

With that being said, we haven’t been too impressed with the place. I’ve been here for a few months. We have 24/7 access so we’ve see it all.
Our company’s been through most of the storage units in Scarborough over the last 5 years trying them out. So usually we wait a few months before reviewing them. Here’s what my honest opinion is.

1. The drive in loading dock door is consistently failing. There’s been countless times the door sensor messes up and won’t close. Today, we drove in the loading bay, the door locked and then the power shut off as if the breaker tripped, this was in the middle of the night; and customer service couldn’t get anyone to help because everyone was sleeping. So we were trapped in the loading dock for 7+ hours (came in at 2am, writing this at 9am, still stuck inside). We think it’s because of all of the spliced and exposed wire surrounding the garage doors. Tried to take some pictures. We run a business so we ended up having to cancel all our service calls for the day so huge loss of income and literally our last straw with this place.

2. Units are whatever; ceiling is 8ft so if you’re into any type of trade work or anything structural, probably not your fit
There’s also nothing above your 8FT ceiling aside from some mesh, some competitors have concrete or dry wall with units at about 10ft tall. We didn’t think it would be a problem but there’s a bunch of people who live in the units so you just hear “everything” at night because it’s basically an open ceiling concept.

3. Our units were pretty banged up, door locking mechanism is pretty standard but ours were messed up, when I told them no one seemed to really care, it was a “oh man really!?” And that was about it. One of our employees broke his thumb trying to slide the locking latch but we popped the bone back in lol. Also, because the latches were bent, the recommended locks they sold us for $70 didn’t fit in the latch and so eventually all 3 keys broke trying to lock the units. We ended up just going to Home Depot and buying skinny locks so they’d fit. So that was a waste of money.

4. Floor in our units are pretty uneven for some reason, no idea what it is but there’s like metal bars running across the floor. All of our gear rolls so moving things around is an absolute nightmare.

5. Not really a complaint but just compared to other competitors, there’s no access to the bathrooms after 6pm, even if you pay for the 24/7 access. Also not allowed to use the trash bins even for small stuff. Most of the other storages we’ve been to such as, access storage and storwell have these amenities available.

Wendy and Edward were incredibly helpful and welcoming! Checking-in was quick, easy, and the facility is well maintained. They took the time to explain access hours and found me a unit that would make my moving-in easier and faster. I highly recommend this location for your storage needs.
