I feel like it's easy for people to write more bad than goods.. I have never written a google review for anyone but this place really deserve it! Luckily, I had the best experience at downtown Hyundai, Sandra was amazing and David was very through with explaining every corner of my car. I needed a car ASAP and I got it within 2 days! I am pleased with their service. Love driving my new Hyundai Sonata Sport!☺️

Please please and please read this before you commit to buying a car from this dealer especially if you have to deal with the sales guy who I will call Mr. C & sales manager Ms. S (what a disastrous team). They have the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced (you can make it work to your advantage though because their sloppiness worked out for me in the end).
Reasons not to buy from them:
- They won't let you take the vehicle for a test drive on the highway
- customer service is terrible after you commit to buying, before then they suck upto you- offer you water/coffee

The bad experience started on the day I was to pick up the car I was interested in. I was picked up from work by (close to  union station) one of downtown hyundai employees. On getting to the dealership I was informed that they couldn't finish up the minor fixes they had agreed to on the purchase agreement and I would have to bring it in another day (something they could have told me about over the phone). I told them i would have appreciated it if they requested  a day or even an extra week if they needed it...I don't want to drive over 25 km one way for something they considered minor. Long story short, the sales guy - Ceasar tried to force me to take the car that day. 30 mins after arguing back and forth, he realized that I wasn't going to take the car, he offered I come back for it another day, which was fine with me. So I asked them to take me back to my workplace or GO station  (whichever is easier for them) as I'm not familiar with how to move around in Toronto plus it was a cold rainy night too (wasn't even properly dressed for the weather since I thought I was driving home). I was totally shocked that they refused to especially when it was their fault they screwed up. Sandy the manager wasn't any better than her subordinate Ceasar...she literally told me being dropped off wasn't part of the deal, which I was quite aware of...being picked up from my office wasn't either but a courtesy thing on their part. She gave me option to opt out of the deal if not happy and that's what I did with a full refund of my deposit. That's how  you get treated by this dealer when you spend about 15k cash. They give dealers bad name because after that ordeal I promised not to deal with them. Best part was it led me to a better dealer - auto sales depot and I got a 2015 model for same price I would have paid to downtown hyundai for 2013 that has 30+k.
Ended up with a 2015 with only 7K on it from auto sales depot, to further reassure me there's nothing wrong with the car, auto sales depot took my car to my mechanic to check it out for me. When the mechanic complained about a minor thing, auto sales depot fixed it and took it back to my mechanic without any deposit (because it was too good to be true I even pulled a carfax on it). Thank God for the sales manager  & sales guy terrible job- would never want anything to do with them despite the fact I was offered free oil changes by another employee, which I think it is a slap on the face...who would want to deal with them after all that horrible experience???

Service department is horrible!!! Avoid at all costs!

Here’s why: (1) your car will be in worse and dirtier shape when you leave; (2) to get it right you have to go back 3-4 times; (3) for compensation the max they’ll offer is an oil change; (4) their service advisors quit all the time (wonder why?); and (5) they use customer cars for shuttles.
Purchased a car here in spring 2013 – overall a good experience except for Terry the finance manager. Scheduled a service appointment in November for winter tires, rims, an alignment and a non-working dome light. Went to pick up the car at the scheduled time and was told that the alignment couldn’t be done (I later found out this is because they don’t do alignments there apparently – thanks for the notice) and that their wiring technician was sick and someone else had tried to fix the dome light and couldn’t diagnose the problem. They could have called to informed me of this so I could have rescheduled.
Turns out they made things worse! If you don’t know your wiring, don’t do wiring work! None of the interior lights worked, the doors wouldn’t lock and the car alarm was malfunctioning. And there was grease all over the ceiling around the dome light. And they didn’t have another appointment slot for 5 days – thanks for making zero effort to fit me in!
Took it back, and finally got the wiring fixed by the wiring expert and the ceiling cleaned. New problem – grease stains all over the seats. Another four days later for a detailing appointment and the service advisor I had been dealing with had quit. Service manager said they would wash the car. When you wash a car, you wash the roof too! And when you detail a car inside, you get the dirt out. And they didn’t even get the stains all out, I had to go back and point them out yet again!
Their compensation for four trips for what should have been one trip and oil on the inside of my car: an oil change. Yeah right! The last thing I want is any of those incompetents there with more oil on their hands near my car!
Spoke to Paul the GM about the detailing, and then he walked away and did other stuff. I had to follow him and go into his office and see what the deal was (he thought we were done): an oil change was all they could offer. I asked if that is what he thought my time was worth and he said it’s fair. He said they’re not in the trading business: no kidding, I was only asking to be fairly compensated for the hatchet job these guys did on my car.
Related to this: three service advisors had quit in the last month and the only service manager/employee was manager by virtue of him being there the longest: 4 weeks!
The icing on the cake: they use customer cars for service shuttles. Their regular shuttle was unavailable, and since they have to drive the cars to the service depot blocks away, they were going to take me in a customer car and then drop it off at the depot on the way back. A big no, no! I declined and waited for the shuttle.
Buy your car here if you want, but take it to get it serviced anywhere else!
