Highly recommend Kien at Dow Honda!
I'm very happy with my recent experience with Kien at Dow Honda. This is the second time I bought a car from Dow Honda, both with Kien. He is always professional, and he is always there to help me wherever and whenever possible. He explained very clearly on different options that were to OUR best interest (Important! our interest not theirs!). I urgently needed a new car as my previous on was totalled. I could not really sustain too long without a car. Kien (and his colleagues at Dow Honda) assisted us to accelerate the whole process, so we were able to get our car promptly. Kien is very thorough. He checked our car in great details to ensure everything was perfect. He explained to us very clear of the features of the car. I sincerely appreciate the service from Kien, and I highly recommend him to anyone who may interest to buy a Honda.

Worst service experience of my life - STAY AWAY
2013 Honda Fit Sport, 18 months old, 45,000km

Call to make an appointment, engine is noisy, gas smells and warning lights on. Explain in great detail all this. Arrived for appointment and nothing was recorded. Explained it all again, I'm told a 30 minute diagnosis and a call within the hour, I live out of town so I wait in the area. 1.5 hours later, no call, so I drop in to check. Seems the technician took the wrong car into the garage and, I guess, had been working on it for over an hour....not sure what he was doing.

I then learn that none of the information I gave the second time was recorded, all the sheet said was "Check engine light", meanwhile my third service advisor states that a gas smell could indicate a safety issue and it should be recorded, I obviously agree.

3 hours later I get a call, the spark plugs came loose which caused in excess of $2000 in damage to the engine. Everything is covered expect the plug replacement ($300), I'm told that they are a wear and tear item. Surprised that this could happen on an 18 month old car with 45K on it I pay the bill as I have to get home (50km away, Russell township). Yes, I bought a car from a dealership 50km away but it's about 2 kms from work so it made sense.

I get home only to find that the entire windshield wiper assembly is missing, arms blades, everything, they were sitting in the service bay. Rain is forecasted for the following day. At this point, quite upset, I call and tell them that a technician needs to make the drive to reinstall them. The assistant manager informs me that they can compensate me to make the drive myself back, that night. I explain that I would accept the refund of my bill, as I should not have had to pay for these items, she agrees.

Upon arriving, the manager informs me that that was a mistake and that a refund was not possible. 20 minutes of heated discussion ensues, I ask specifically for the OWNERS information and find out the next day that it was not the owner I got but the GM.

In the end I contact Honda Canada who are shocked to hear what I had gone through and genuinely surprised about the plugs not being covered in this situation, they request that Dow Honda cover them under their compassionate warranty. This is the GMs response right from his email to me,

"We were not prepared to cover your repair out of OUR goodwill budget based on your service history with us (which is nonexistent) as the funds we are allocated by Honda for this purpose are limited and used for situations and loyal customers that we feel deserve extra help.

He proceeded to respond with this in light of a Google review I posted,

. I will post a reply with the facts as I see them, as someone who has worked here for 22 years and knows the commitment and integrity of the staff – not as someone who has never stepped foot in our service department and is upset that we did not give in to their unreasonable demands.

As per his service manager Richard, the entire service department staff is two weeks old to DOW except the assistant manager, commitment and integrity after 22 years.....you've known them for two weeks.

I'm also not entirely sure what was so unreasonable about asking for something that Honda Canada agrees I should have received. So in the end Honda Canada is sending me a cheque by mail and again where shocked when Dow refused to do this.

STAY AWAY; read more than my review, you will see that this is one of the worst places to go.

Quite ticked off with the whole Service Experience
I booked an appointment for 9 a.m. and at 11a.m. the car still had not gone in. I bought the car second hand from a private dealer and wanted to get the whole car checked over as there was a vibration at higher speeds. I left with my car untouched. Very poor service department who obviously are overbooking the appointments. I am self employed and cannot afford to waste gross amounts of time for No Service. I re-booked for Monday at 7 a.m. to get this work done. Hopefully they are on time when the doors open.

Super service with a smile
Kudos to Curtis, front line and Mike who installed my rear view mirror in no time at all. I needed an additional part, which had to be ordered from Vancouver and might take some time. I was informed of its arrival the very next day and was invited to come in for a quick installation. Although the coffee machine is amazing, it's hats off to Curtis and Mike for making my service call so successful. Go, Dow Honda!

Easy car buying experience
Excellent sales department. Made a deal quick and easy with no high pressure or tricks. Nailed our target price and even bought us breakfast.

What a relief, love the Fit!
We just bought first new car in 15 years, a bit apprehensive, but everything was smooth at Dow Honda, no muss, no fuss, no headaches with paper, appointments kept on time, and new additions (seat covers, front floor liners, rear bumper cover) to vehicle were obtained quickly and were at the Parts desk awaiting my arrival as promised. Excellent service from start to finish, top quality products for a wonderfully engineered vehicle, but this was the icing on the cake: I told Behzad that I only listen to the radio, all else is clutter, he said which stations, I said Dawg FM, he said my favourite station too, 101.9 FM, and in about 5 seconds it was Go Time in the new Fit listening to CCR and Bad Moon Rising.. Kudos to Dow Honda, wonderful doing business with you, although I sense that my wife thinks the Fit was for her, she is on the road again!

very poor service but great location
I would not recommend this dealership! It all started when they sold my wife a car that was either an insurance write-off or stolen. It was only discovered after my wife insisted on getting an extended warranty and Honda Canada wouldn't let them apply the warranty. So, they gave her a great deal on a new car instead. Since then the car has been great, but the service at the shop terrible. For anything other than routine maintenance several visits are required for them to fix a problem. Also, we've had our car returned after service with worker's garbage in it (McDonald's take-out) and had our car scratched/dented while getting maintenance. Both of which they said there was nothing they could do to help. The only reason why we took our car there was the convenient location...but just don't count on a shuttle service.
