"BUYER BEWARE" PUT INTO LEASE WHEN ASKED FOR FINANCING

These guys are very shady and will lie and manipulate you into a sale. All reviews point to it and they are telling the truth.
Bought a 2014 ford focus st from them April 17th 2015. I wanted to finance the car so I can own it when I finish the payments. So the whole incident went like this, I found the car online on kijiji, called in and spoke to Liliane Rousel, first she didn't have any info on the car which was surprising as they had posted the car, I booked a time with her so I can see the car. I live in Ajax so it was a long drive. I took a day off work and met with her, test drove the car and mentioned a few issues with the it, 3rd brake light had condensation in it and a few scratches, tires we're showing signs of wear and tear. I asked if these things will be fixed if I was to go ahead with the car, she said yes definitely. So we walked in the trailer since they're doing construction, she asked me where I wanted to be with the price they were asking around $26995, I said I wanted to be at around $25k all in. She went to the manager came back and said I don't think it's possible. She then asked if I wanted to finance or lease the car, I said FINANCE. I put a deposit of $500 filled the application and left and waited for a call back. A day later she called me and gave a ridiculous interest rate and monthly payment number which I obviously refused and asked for my deposit back, she then told me not to give up just yet and called me back 10 minutes later with an offer which was $494 monthly for 48 months and a deposit of $2300 with a 9.95% interest rate. I confirmed that the car will cost me around during $26k all in she said yes.

Two weeks later went to pick up the car. I checked with her a week before to ask if the 3rd brake light and tires will be changed, I was told if tires we're good enough for safety they will remain the same and the 3rd brake light will be changed. When i got there the tires we're still the same and the brake lamp wasn't changed either, when questioned I was told that the service department was busy and didn't have time to change it however I could go to any Ford dealer and get it replaced under warranty.
I do realize that I didn't look over the paper work carefully as I was excited to get my new car, I've never done this kind of purchase before. She pointed out the 48 months and $494 monthly and 26k which was there so I signed the papers, they gave me one side of the ownership and only one key, when I questioned her she told me that I would get the other side after 4 years and that they only had one key.
One week in I started having issues with the car. Took it to a dealer close by and was diagnosed wheel bearing, clutch, pressure plate, 3rd brake light, front brakes were all bad and changed under warranty. I was asked how the car even passed safety. Tires are all cupped and worn. Brakes pulsing, struggling to get car in reverse. Loud humming noise when driving. I got tired of it and just wanted to inquire if I could trade it in. I then found out from my local dealer that the car wasn't mine and it was LEASED IN HOUSE WITH DOUGLAS with a buy out residual value of $7500 plus taxes. So if the math is done right the car is gonna cost me $494x48=$23712 plus deposit $2300 plus buy out $7500 plus taxes= $34512. For a used 2014 focus st driven 33167kms?? I could've bought brand new 2015 ST for that much.
When I called in to confront them I was told liliane rousel doesn't work there anymore and hasn't for 2 months. The signing officer Jeff Ball was very rude and just laughed when I told him that one of his sales rep scammed and manipulated me into a lease when it was supposed to be financing. He told me that nothing could be done and i should cut my loss and move on. I am very disappointed in FORD and this dealer. They will lie and trick you. I'm not the only one who has been scammed from them as other reviews show.

I have contacted omvic and car help canada and am taking the necessary steps to deal with them.

I recently visted Douglas Ford in hopes of purchasing a vechicle, but was extremly disappointed. The sales person told me one thing but did another and tried to take me for a ride. He was rude and told me the wrong information while trying to push me into a deal I did not agree to. I have never had such a hard time buying a car. There are great Ford dealerships out there which I have since visited, but this is certainly not one of them.
