ACURA WEST IS A FRAUD. DONT BUY OR BRING YOUR CARS TO GET IT FIXED THERE.
« on: December 09, 2008, 02:29:38 am »

Hey PPL
Ok I don’t even know where to begin with all the B.S I’ve been through for the past 2 weeks. I have a acura mdx 2001 model which I bought a couple years ago and driving it without any problems until 2 weeks ago I heard a clickin noise and being a non expert with cars I didn’t know what the cause could have been so I decided to take it to Honda dealership which is located in Windsor. They checked my vehicle and told me that there was a problem with my 2nd gear transmission and that I could be looking at paying 4-6 grand to fix. The money wasn’t a problem for me, but the service manager was nice enough to do a background check on the vehicle and told me that there was some issue regarding the 2nd gear in the transmission. And it was possible for me not to pay nothing under the recall. him telling me the news was great considering that there was a possibility I wouldn’t have to fork out any cash to fix my car. So I decided to take it to the nearest Acura dealership, which was located in London Ontario. I tried driving the vehicle on the highway and within 80 kilometers the transmission just went nuts and the steering wheel locked up and couldn’t go into gear afterwards. I had to get the car towed the rest of the way. Upon arriving to the dealership the lady Carmen jones who works at the dealership told me there are no guarantees that this would be covered under the recall. They performed a check on the vehicle and told me nothing is wrong with the 2nd gear and that my transmission is blown. You know I believed her and was willing to pay to get my vehicle fix. I love my car. So I asked her how much is it to fix and she replied “ 6400 including labour and after taxes ” I was like ok so how much is the parts separately? She then puts me on hold for about a minute, she comes back and tells me that we don’t sell the parts separately. In my head I was like what the fuc*? . so then I was like what do you mean you don’t sell the parts separately. Then she replies we only sell the package as a whole. So I play along and asked how much is the package without you guys doing the job. She answers 7000. That’s when I became suspicious and called up Acura consumer relations. I spoke to an agent and told her my problem. The agent ends up calling the dealership telling them to take pictures of the transmission and send it back the Acura consumer relations. I waited a few days then became inpatient so I decided to go up to the dealership and ask them what was going on. I notice that the fraudster lady Carmen jones was trying to avoid me so I asked to speak to the manager to find out exactly what was going on. Finnaly I got the chance to speak to him and he told me that there was some chipped pieces or something within the 2nd gear of the transmission. I was like wtf? I thought this lady told me that there was nothing wrong with the 2nd gear. A few days later I got a call with the good news. The agent told me they had a level 6 tech look at the pictures and agreed there was problem with the 2nd gear. So transmission was covered so I didn’t have to fork out a penny. phewWWWWWW.
the messed up part about this is getting my car back from them with my steering wheel not leveled out and engine light/vtm-4 light was on. So I brought my car back to them asking them why is my steering wheel not properly done, and why is the engine light/vtm-4 light is on. They told me that I had to pay more money for them to diagnose the problem. Dealing with the same lady again she told me that they were not getting paid to straight my steering wheel out. So this time I became pissed off and asked her why couldn’t you just straiten my wheel out the way it was. So I have to pay you guys to do the job you were suppose to do. Fuc* it I just left. The very next day my car didn’t turn on and once again I had to call CAA to give me a battery boost. So im sitting in my car thinking the battery is dead, my girlfriend had to push the car while I steer it on the road and noticed the power came on for a split second. This didn’t make sense to me so I just popped the hood and once again noticed something suspicious, there was some battery acid on top of the battery. I then moved the positive connector around on the battery and what do you know my car was fine and that the engine light/vtm-4 light went off. Driving around again and my car died on the road. You guys could imagine what I am going through now with this long ass story of my life. So I popped the hood , this time with my girlfriend there watching me and she noticed that the battery in my car is NOT MY FU**** BATTERY. Then I was like omg you are right. The battery brand that was currently in my car was labeled ACURA. And I remember buying the bloody car with a new battery that was installed from Canadian tire in which they don’t carry acura batterys. It was motomaster. I could not believe what I was seeing. They swapped my Canadian tire brand battery with there used acura battery thinking I wont notice.
All they were trying to do is make money off me by pulling these stunts, thinking I will bring my car back to them.

Take this true story however you want to take. I am going to end this story here..
