My wife bought a new Protege in 2000.Beautiful car with good service. This service brought us back in 2012 to buy a Mazda 3.We bought the maintenance package and the undercoating .When we got home,I checked the undercoating. Non existent, just a little spray under the doors. I complained and took it back to get it fixed. City Mazda never did anything to it.Took it back twice more, still not touched. Talked to service manager,he said they don't do under the car.We were told the undercoating would be bumper to bumper coverage by the salesperson who sold it to us. We paid over 600$ for this undercoating. Now I have to pay extra every year to have someone else to undercoat my car. For this reason, I will never buy another car from City Mazda.

December 2011, at my urging, my son bought a 2011 MX 5 GT. I wanted him to experience joy of owning a sport coupe while he was young and single. I think it's a beautiful vehicle. The nightmare of dealing with their service department seriously detracted from that joy, even for a young person. He suffered a litany of sloppy errors from the start. Everything from leaving oil cap off on the engine, not fastening the oil pan cover back on , repairs done badly and wrong parts put on, and on and on. Instead of ass kissing as one would expect, it ws more like "Kiss my Ass" and difficulty getting that Luckily for my son and them, none of the errors were serious enough to harm or cause legal action.
The reason dear old Dad is writing the complaint is that while my son was on his honeymoon, my wife and I took his car in for his regular maintenance check. We asked and received a quote for new tires. When my son got home and took the vehicle in to replace the tires he was told that he also required brakes and that the service department had advised us that the vehicle should not be driven as was and because it was, the disks were ruined. I am a retired Bank Manager and would like to think that at 68 I still maintain most of my faculty's. They lied.
Hard to believe they can continue to get away with this and that there aren't more complaints.

This was the wrost experience I have ever encountered with a dealership! My wife and I bought a brand new Mazda CX-7...and the fun stopped there. From the beginning, the salesman was short with us, and after we had test driven a few he says "Would you be ready to sign tonight?"! The guy was drooling for a sale before I found out what kind of car I was trying out! In the end we decided to by after weeks of trying numerous vehicles. The finance Rep was something out of a movie, he had not a clue what he was talking about couldn't provide documents regarding warranty, rust protection, undercoating, NOTHING! I found the info online so I left it. Then we find out as we're signing that date sare wrong for payment, and they ask us to fix it with the bank later...because all they have time to do is sell cars, that's all they care about, they couldn't care about you once you leave the door! After all of this, I get home and I have a friend looking at the car and by chance he asks about the rust-proofing/under-coating and says he thinks they forgot to do it. In my mind I thought, "There is no way they actually signed papers saying THEY DID it, and then didn't" - He was 100% RIGHT, they didn't DO IT! Couldn't believe it! So we go in and instead of apologizing, they say "These things happen", and got it done.

Further more, we get the hand shake from the Sales Mgr without any sort of offer of free or discounted accessories to appease the situation, WE HAD TO ASK! Seriously the most uneducated outfit in Halifax! Their discounts amounted to a pathetic $30.00...that's when I decided to leave that crap chute before I actually lost my cool. I've talked with Mazda HQ Canada and they are investigating into it.

ALL IN ALL worst experience of my life!

Don't Waste your time - GO TO STEELE MAZDA in Dartmouth, a much better outfit.

Since I had a bad experience with their sales people, everything I have heard about this place has been negative.
Personally, I felt the salesman lied about the price of options for my car, and once I agreed in principle to buy a car from them, and we sat down to finalize the price, everything he promised me was all of a sudden more expensive. More for my tires, more for my warranty, more for the service package, ... By the end of it I felt like I had been manipulated, and left. His manager attempted to lure me back with what actually were very good rebates and deals, but since they had already soured me with the original deceit, I moved on to Steele Mazda in Dartmouth and could not have been happier.
From former employees, to customers, everyone I talk to about City Mazda regrets ever doing business with them...
Take head.. at least talk to Steele Mazda, it is across the bridge, but their service department is great, their shuttle service will take you anywhere in HRM AND pick you up!!
