After 25 years in Drexel Hill, Ardmart Antiques has relocated to 1102 Naamans Creek Road, Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1974, Ardmart was originally in Ardmore, PA. It was then moved to Drexel Hill in 1987. Owners, Ken and Erma Schaffer have long sought to own a building for Ardmart. The Naamans Creek Road property became available, and after a long period of negotiation, became a reality. Ardmart's new location is in Southern Delaware County, near the Delaware border. It is within close proximity to several auction houses, Booth's Corner Farmers Market, and many other antiques malls and shops along the Route 1 and Route 202 corridors. The antiques business has seen dramatic changes in demographics over the past 25 years. Passing generations do not necessarily want to keep the parents' and grandparents' furnishings and keepsakes. These trends are apparent as one explores the rooms and corridors, shops and showcases, and the treasure trove of discoveries ... at the new home of Ardmart Antiques.
