i had been to Kia as well as Hyunda to look at what they could offer me prior to my looking at Toyota....what a shock to the system those 1st 2 car dealerships gave me. Kia would not even give me the price of the car i was reviewing! they kept asking me what i wanted to pay a month for the car....finally...... just to get out of there,..... i told them $250. the sales girl ran off and huddled with her boss and came back.....the paper with the figures on it showed a monthly payment of $178/mo. She was so pleased they were able to get a lower amt. than i was willing to pay....she still had the other side of the paper hidden under her hand.....i was finally able to push her hand off that side of the page and saw the finale sale amt.....AND the $178/mo was for 10 YEARS!!! i told her i would like to pay for the car BEFORE i died !!....so off i went to the next car sale lot......i wandered around that place for over 40 minutes AND NOT ONE PERSON CAME OUT TO TALK TO ME......i was so thankful to have walked onto the stampede lot and be treated as a person who wasn't viewed as an idiot!..Gary Wilson met me in the sales lot and showed me what was in my price range and gave me the keys to go for a drive....as well he was a wonderful personable friendly person.....did not try to hide the price as some car dealerships tend to....he went out of his way to insure i was comfortable, as well as explained everything i needed to know.....and no question i had was pushed aside as unimportant........as a female...i really dislike it when i feel i'm being bamboozled! from the moment i walked into stampede Toyota, i felt that i mattered to each person in their area of expertise!! as i moved from Gary Wilson (in the sales area) to the finale signing of papers with Geoff Houghton the financial service manager.......AS WELL.....i received a very information instruction time to help me understand all the bells and whistles on my new used car....i really have to compliment all the people that worked there.....this purchase was an easy and surprisingly enjoyable time. i will buy my next car there (when it's time) and i am also letting everyone who i know and anyone who asks how i like my car.... to go there as well! AND ALSO LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THE SHODDY UNDERHANDED TREATMENT FROM THE FIRST 2 CAR DEALERSHIPS...........THANK-YOU STAMPEDE TOYOTA.......NOW A LOYAL BUYER ...ANITA LEE
