So I signed for a car loan for a so called friend. I agree its my mistake. But what happened next is worse. That so called friend was able to get a vehicle upgrade without my consent from Crosstown Crystler dodge jeep amd ram dealership. I found out because he lost the job because of covid and my credit score got hit. I have been trying to get info laio ( the finance director ). He asks us to come doesn't show up or makes reasons. Initial reason was its weekend and he doesn't work weekends. So we took off and went on weekday and still doesn't show up. But how can the dealership approve the loan without my consent? When asked they say, you signed for the first loan, whats your problem now. They don't accept their mistake that they were sales hungry and approved it even though the sales guy(Jecris) knew it wasn't me. He knew me by my name, had my phone number. When asked further, I was told that because they had my file , they didn't need to check with me. So everyone who is going to purchase a vehicle here or purchased something before, make sure you check your credit score and someone else doesn't have a vehicle on your name. They will not check if its you really signing the document as all they are behind is the commission from sales. Then it becomes your problem and they will wash their hands off blaming on bank, the buyer and so on.. I will not recommend you go through this dealership. Till today the manager of the dealership or the finance director never met me in person to deal with this. It was some sales manager Mike passing on messages. Just want to share my experience with you all so you know better not to buy from here

I went in on Saturday because they were "offering" this great rebate deal. I Picked out a truck and gave them the go ahead to process. After a few days of no progress I went into the dealership to cancel the deal and get my deposit back. The salesman I dealt with named Dario came out and said "what are you doing the deal is good I have your approval approved from the bank already". I confirmed that the approval was everything I wanted and Dario said yes the truck you want the rate you want and $5000 cash back you want with no negative equity from my trade in. I was happy so we proceeded to transfer my registration and insurance over and started signing the paperwork. Near the end I was told the bank was being slow getting the final paper work back and would I mind coming in tomorrow to sign, I said not problem.
The next day comes and I find out not only did they not have the bank approved loan Dario said they had but the new approval was $2000 less cash back than I was told the day before and I had to drop my disability insurance to get the cash back and they hide $14000 worth of negative equity into the cost of the new truck. That's just for the banks" was the reason. lol
Now remember I have already transferred everything over and had been driving the new truck because I was told everything had been approved and everything was fine. Turns out they also did not transfer the registration like they assured me they would so I got pulled over on Thursday.
I was shocked that the salesman lied to me saying he already had the loan approved by the bank and put me in the new truck and took my trade in. Their excuse was that they did have the loan approved but then the bank retracted it, that was just another lie. They never had a loan approved because they were trying to get approval to finance 55k on a 39k truck.
When I did go to get my trade in truck and paperwork back I was told they could not return my original bill of sale and all the info for my contracts and protection plans and loan contract for my current truck because they SHREDDED them!!!!! Now I have to run around to the bank and old dealership to try and replace it all just so I can re register my truck.
They did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation except feed me more BS and excuses and were just fine with me leaving as an unhappy customer. To top it all off when I left my truck was out of gas.
My son will be buying a new Dodge Charger in June and my wife will be buying a new jeep wrangler in Sept and not only will they not be going to this place or using go auto but I will try and deter anyone I come in contact with from using them as well. Very very shady sales practices. Stay away stay very far way. This was just week of headaches, lies and manipulation and by far the Worst sales experience I have ever had.

Not long ago went to Southtown chrysler to look at and possibly buy a vehicle, WOW! the B.S and scamming that went on for the 1-2 hours I was there was unbelievable, they actually think you a moron and don't know anything about vehicles, I was interested in this vehicle, they requested a down payment or deposit to secure the vehicle while finance did there thing to get me financing, well...financing didn't go through, they have yet to return my deposit to this day, PLEASE FOLKS DON'T EVER GO HERE TO BUY A VEHICLE, THEY DON 'T STAND BY THEIR WORD, ITS ALL A LIE AND SCAM, AND IF YOUR FINANCING DOESN'T GO THROUGH THEY TREAT YOU LIKE &%*#$ AND THEY DON'T RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT, THERE IS NOT ONE HONEST PERSON THERE INCLUDING THE GENERAL MANAGER IF THERE WAS I WOULD HAVE MY DEPOSIT BACK.
I Just bought my first new vehicle ever!! Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 im absolutely in love with my truck, any excuse i can think of to get out of the house and go driving is a good excuse. Cara Humphries is a wonderful caring person, who is an absolute pleasure to deal with, she was just as excited about my brand spanking new truck as i was. The day i bought it i felt like a kid goin on his first date, i told cara this, and she said thats what buying a new vehicle should feel like, its a good sign. I love my new truck and i'm very thankful i got to deal with cara, she made the whole experience very easy, very fun and very stress free. Thankyou Cara and thank you southtown
Southtown sold me a used vehicle which was not inspected for use in alberta. They took in my lease vehicle and were suposed to pay out the remander on the lease - this was not done for more then 3 weeks. During this time payments we being withdrawn for both cars and 2 seprate lending institutions told me the failure lied with Southtown. Southtown would not return any messages left on voicemail or written by the secretary. It looks as though I have to go to the dealership in person to get my answers.
