North Hill Mazda, Calgary Reviews (3)
Had a mirror (or parts of a mirror) replaced to resolve a shaking problem. This was the dealer's third try to fix the problem. Now the power adjustor does not work properly. There were finger prints all over the glass and bits of wire left inside the mirror housing. Overall, very sloppy work.
Just had our Mazda 3 in to determine why the cooling fan doesn't come on. Cost $124.00 for them to diagnose and tell me it will cost $2400.00 YES THAT"S TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS !!! to fix the fan. Only Mazda can fix this problem so I've connected the fan to a switch under the dash Cost $3.95 !!!
Brought our 2004 Mazda 3 in for some service work all the way from Strathmore. When the work was done (belts replaced, emission system cleaned $450 bill) we picked our car up. On the way back to Strathmore around 6-7pm in the dark on the #1 highway began a flapping banging plastic hitting metal sound. Close to home by then we toughed it out and pushed on. After pulling into our garage and grabbing a trouble light I climbed under our dripping wet slush covered car. I was shocked at what I noticed. The entire plastic piece was missing that covers the entire bottom of the engine. Both wheel well plastic inserts were loosely hanging to the car, the metal belt protector at the bottom of the serpentine belt was held on by 2 threads of a bolt. Nothing was reconnected properly. The next day my wife took the car all the way back to Calgary from Strathmore to have this mess on their part fixed. After phoning first and arriving on time North Hill Mazda had the nerve to ask if she could come back another day? And what drive around and commute with plastic hitting metal, as well as a solid metal belt guard dangling under our car? What could happen if that piece of metal flew off going down the highway at 110 kmh? She said no it can't wait it’s a safety issue and our car was in tip top shape before we brought it here. Then they asked if she could wait a few hours? After arguing with a dealer that had no right to argue with her they reluctantly bolted things on properly and put an aftermarket plastic engine protector on. The car is not as it was though. The plastic is now held on with bolts instead of clips, which I am sure the next 100 oil changes will take allot longer because of. Nothing was mentioned in any way of a refund or anything to make up for our huge inconvenience. Not to mention the fact that we could of easily been one of those fatality roll over’s you read about due to huge plastic pieces flying off our car after having it serviced at Northill Mazda @ 1211 Centre Street North, Calgary Alberta 403 276 5962.
