My husband and I were at grove Dodge on Sunday March.22 to buy a Jeep...
We put down a $2000 deposit on a Jeep Wrangler ...however for reasons including customer care, as well as financially we decided to back out of the deal! Now Grove Dodge is refusing to refund our deposit! Would you allow someone to just steal $2000 ??
The worst is we just bought a 2013 Dodge Ram from them 2 years ago with a great experience. This is how they treat their repeat customers!

We Have contacted Dodge Canada head office , which we are told they do not want to lose our future business, and do not condone what this specific dealer has done to us!

Hello my name is Tom I bought a chrysler 300c from grove dodge on the 5th of march. They advertized it at 14999 so I told them because of the interest rate I was being charged I would give them 15000 all in as that's all I could afford. That's what I thought I was getting it for as I had no glasses with me { no excuse I know} and he had to show me where to sign and put my initials. So he gave me the bill of sale and I drove of the lot thinking I owned this car. I drove it for a few days when the dealership kept calling me about paperwork so for a few days we played phone tag. We finally got in touch with one another and I spoke to the finance gentlemen who signed the bill of sale the week before. I asked him about the paperwork and he was extremely ignorant and replied that he had told me I needed a paystub in order for them to get thier money. I told him he said no such thing and I explained to him I had looked at the bill of sale when they 1st tried to make contact and that I didn't agree to buy the car for 17400. He replied still very beligerant that I had signed the bill of sale so I had to pay and the 1600 in fees was normal {not true I checked} So he said I had to come in and resign the deal as they hadn't recieved the money or they were taking the car and keeping my 2000 downpayment. He then told me to get a lawyer as they were millionaires and could keep me in court for a very long time and I would lose everything. I told him I wouldn't drive the car till this was settled or they can come and get it. I would keep the keys till we went to court and let the judge decide. I haven't touched the car since we 1st spoke as I told him I wouldn't though legally I could and all I wanted was my downpayment he hung up in my ear. At no time was I disrespectful to him He called my work my personal phone for the last 2 weeks and I kept asking for my downpayment and they could resell the car as the 800 k I put on it wouldn't make any difference in the price as it still has only 62000. So they finally took the car today april 1st and plan on selling it at an auction. I've contacted a lawyer so hopefully things will work out if not it is a serious lesson learned. I seriously can't believe I am going through this I would have refinanced it if they had at least took off the 1000/1200 in fees and made it more affordable for me. And I'm going through all of this for a 1000 dollers or my downpayment returned. They are as I was informed millionaires. Tell me this was good business.
