I went to CareSpot for treatment for some possibly broken ribs. Was charged $25 up front along with Insurance info. Was taken back to a room, waited and a NP came in. She had read the info I had provided and asked if my head had hit the ground. I questioningly looked at her and said, yes but I'm here for ribs that were poked by some handlebars. She quickly said, I can't see you, that could be from neck, spinal nerve injury if you head hit the ground, you need to go to ER at the hospital. I said that I felt a refund of my money was in order since she wasn't in the room more than about 60 seconds and provided no service at all. I stopped at the front desk and asked for a refund but that woman told me that once the NP stepped inside the door, there would be no refunds. Hummm, $100 a minute, not bad money. I went to the hospital and told the receptionist what had happened and she just grinned and said that they have gotten several patients like that from CareSpot. I saw the doctor and after he heard the story, he just hung his head, shaking it in a "No" fashion and a grin on his face. As it turned out, I didn't have any broken ribs, just badly bruised ribs. I only went to CareSpot because that is what my insurance indicated I should do and the pain was excruciating .... I still think I should receive a refund of my money since I wasn't treated there as was agreed upon with the payment.
