Citadel Restoration

Our water heater leaked overnight and we awoke to multiple flooded rooms. I immediately called our insurance company to file a claim not knowing how bad the damage was; and we have already dealt with mold not covered previously, so we were very cautious. At 4:45PM, I called Ryan who was recommended by a friend that works as a local insurance agent. Because we are low on money, I mainly asked if he could come look to see if this is something that we can handle or if the damage was extensive enough to file a claim on a $1000 deductible, as I was at a loss on the direction to take. He offered to drive 75 miles that night to come look and start repairing, if needed. When he arrived, on time, he immediately started checking walls, carpet, pad, baseboards, mold, etc. After checking moisture levels and seeing the damage, he gave an honest opinion that it would not be worth the deductible cost to file a claim and the damage could be repaired by us at a minimal expense. He also provided guidance and knowledge on cleanup and how to repair everything that was wet. Additionally, he offered fans to help speed the drying process and suggested he could come back if needed to check things again. He also checked a leaky shower, which has caused mold in an interior wall and advised on a fix for that issue as well. I tried to pay him for a consultation visit or at least gas for driving, he politely refused. It was a horrible time and all I wanted was someone who would be forthcoming, honest, and trustworthy and Citadel surpassed those needs. Knowing he wasn’t going to get the job due to lack of damage which would not meet the deductible, he offered advice, help, and professional opinion on this job and the next all at his own expense. I will find every review site possible to post this on because, God forbid, if something happens again I will be calling him. I can’t thank him enough!
