Paypal Refund Request
I have been ordering from Event Deco Direct for a couple of years. The products are nice, but my recent experience was a nightmare. Instead of paying using a credit card I decided to pay via Paypal since I didn't have my credit card handy. My client later decided to cancel and only wanted a partial order. This is where the problem starts. Money was immediately taken out my checking account ($925). I contacted Direct Event Décor the same day order was placed to ask that order be cancel and refunded requested. Never could get a live representative, so I sent an email. I was advised that order was cancel and received a confirmation that order was cancel. However, my account showed otherwise. That should have been an indication something was wrong. I checked for eight days on Paypal and my refund never showed. After not seeing my refund on the day 6 I started calling Paypal and Event Décor. Paypal stated Event Décor never initiated a refund. I am now at day 10 and still don't have my money or see anything on the Paypal portal. If you ever dealth with Paypal, you know once money show up on Paypal there is an additional 1-3 days before it shows in your bank. On day 8 called Event Décor and Customer Service Rep said the Accounting department stated it will 3-5 days before it show up on Paypal. By now, I am pissed. So, I am waiting now day 10 for my refund and no sign of it on Paypal or anything from Event Décor. Word to the wise, DO NOT USE PAYPAL when paying for items on EVENT DECOR DIRECT. It will be a pain in the but if you have to cancel your order. I gave them a 1 because there was not a button for 0. Another issue is the Customer Service availability. I tried for three days to get a live person and kept getting the Event Décor Direct jingle song voicemail. I am very dissatisfied at the level of service I received on this last encounter.
