Not a happy stay
We have used this kennel on a number of occasions in the past and had nothing but good experiences. The last trip about a month ago our 4.5 year old Goldendoodle developed a very nasty infection in both of his rear pads. I noticed he was walking different when we got home and he was unusually lethargic. I started to pet him and noticed some dried blood around one of his pads. His pads were very swollen and oozing clear liquids. It happened to be a holiday so I called the local vet hospital who said I better bring him in as his rear paws had a fishy odor. The Vet told me that Kona had an acute infection that had been most likely festering for about a day or two. $250 later we were home with meds and a cone.
I contacted the Kennel prior to my Vet visit and asked if they had noted anything untoward with Kona. They said they had not noticed anything. After the vet bill I sent an email to the Kennel. Over the preceding weeks I had been communicating back and forth via the same email and always received a prompt reply. I never received a reply to my last email after I told them that I was not happy with the service they provided.
It has been 3 weeks and still no reply!!!! It would have been nice for them to at least acknowledge my email and inquire as to how Kona was doing. We will definitely not be returning to this Kennel and will not be recommending to anyone.
