I purchased an Elmira 1956 natural gas retro model. It was delivered chipped and dented; apparently, the top cook unit was not bolted to the oven. The vent cover was missing. Elmira shipped a new cook top and door to the dealer that was installed by the dealer a couple of weeks later. Next day, I realized the burners clicked continuously. A week or so later, the dealer's technicans adjusted them to get rid of clicking . . . which lasted one day. Next day, some clicking came back. After using the stove for the first time after the adjustments, I realized that the flames were too high. Even at "low" the flames were too high; they were more of a medium or medium high flame. Even at LOW, pots boiled over; the days of simmering a pot of soup seemed to be over. I called Elmira as well as the dealer but have had no further response from either. Liz at Elmira is on vacation; the whole place seems to close down when she is gone. Don the Elmira tech guy wasn't much help to me. Hopefully, when Liz gets back she will contact me and the dealer to help get my stove fixed. It's a beautiful stove BUT it's a huge pain. The stove is brand new and it's nothing but problems and more problems.
