Unfriendly, unprofessional and...
A & S use just the minimum building code standards required by the province and often they violate building codes in areas where city inspectors cannot see to save money and leave major issues to homeowners many years to come. A & S roofers do not install any ice shields in all their new home roofs. (According to the building code they have to put in an ice shield depending on the roof’s steepness) Also A & S will not insulate your attic to R50. When I checked my attic it was R20 and A & S response was insulation settle down overtime.
A & S new homes floors are bouncy and squeaky even though they use engineered I joist. The gap between these floor joists are 24 inch apart in A & S homes and this is the minimum standard as per MB building code. Also A & S contractors do not use enough glue and screws when they install sub floors and I ended up having a bouncy and squeaky floors all over my house. A & S response was squeaky floors cannot be guaranteed.
Do not build with A & S and they will be friendly until you sign the contract and they will give you the run a round when you have issues with the house. A & S is pretty much rob your hard earned money in broad daylight. If you are planning to build a house pay bit more money and build a house with a different builder without bad customer reviews. It is unfortunate that they are still in business and building such poor quality homes.
