So rude!
Absolutely appauled. My husband left his phone in a cab because it fell out of his pocket. We were very worried but luckily he realized that he had lost it about 30 seconds after the cab had gone. He called the company and asked that the driver please come back as he couldnt be very far away. They said no that the best they could do was wait until morning and "search the car". i strongly believe someone wouldnt have taken it by then and so did my husband (plus it was very cold outside so it would have been aweful to leave it outside all night!) I called (the man that answered the phone was extremely rude to me...as was the woman who answered the phone for my husband...who was the same lady who hung up on him twice a few hours earlier when we tryied to call a cab from the grocery store! They are always rude.) He told me the same thing about waiting until morning, and I told him that was not acceptable (They told us some other interesting "information" about the drivers not being able to look for it now because they have to wait until daylight?!) When they realized that i was not backing down they finally agreed to send the cab back so long as we paid the cab fair from where he was coming from because it "wasnt their problem we left it in the car". The driver arrived later and told me that he looked for it and that the phone wasnt there. My husband and i had called it before he arrived at least five times and the ringer and vibrate was on...your telling me he couldnt hear it when it was beside the seat right next to him?! Then I paid him his fair (since apperently kindness doesnt exist w Ameys..). I also then called Modern and Amherst to see what they would have done and both of them offered to send the cab back free of charge and were even empathetic with my issue. We have had too many problems with Ameys and as you can tell be this review..we take cabs a lot but we will never take Ameys again. In fact, we will not be satisfied until we spread as much awareness as possible about this issue and others we have had in the past regarding Ameys. I may even go as far as to write an article for some local newspapers about this issue. I am sure we are not the first people to have issues with this company and Im positive we wont be the last. This is the absolute last straw for us. We can not believe how we were treated tonight and urge everyone to use another cab company.
