Autism Dog Services is a new service that has entered our lives over the past couple of months. I have an autistic 4 1/2 year old child who lacks impulse control, has no depth perception and has an uncanning ability to get into dangerous situations.

After experiencing an enormous scare where my son bolted into trafiic, I knew that as a family we now required the service of an autism service dog. After extensive research I found that the typical waiting list through another provider was well over three years, and I knew that I needed the help much sooner.

My son is to large to put into a shopping cart and now without warning springs free from my grip and is gone. Getting an autism service dog will prevent my child from bolting into traffic, enganging in dangerous situations and will also provide a form of comfort to allow my son to cope better in situations that otherwise he would fine overwhelming and be unable to cope.

We are currently fundraising for our service dog, and from the professional care and personal attention we have received, I know that getting an autism service dog will make our lives much easier.

I am always looking for something new and truly unique for gifts for the ones I love, and after seeing some old photos of my grandmothers I knew what I needed to do.

My grandmother had a huge school photo that was saved from a fire and had a lot of water damage. It was also broken in two places.

I took the photo and told her I would have it mounted to a board to at least flatten it, but instead I had the entire photo restored and blown up for her for Christmas.

I left the gift until the very end and when she opened it, the tears ran down her face. My grandmother spent quite sometime looking over the picture and reminicing over old friends.

I know from her tears, laughter and smiles that they had done a wonderful job in restoring her treasured picture.

A lot of work went into the picture and after 3 weeks of work, I was only charged 200 to restore the photo, blown it up (over 1 1/2 meters in length and dry mount it).

This great shop in downtown Owen Sound is full of cameras both new and old and has many professionals to assist you with any photography needs.

I strongly suggest going here before taking your film or projects to anyone else.

A long winter can give you the blahhhs after awhile, and a great way to break up the winter is to join in on the Wiarton Willie festival which is held every groundhog weekend (Feb, 2nd). Groundhog day is when Wiarton Willie makes his annual predicition for an early spring or another 6 weeks of winter.

Spring is Here

Yippee it’s here, it’s finally here the sunshine’s on its way.
There was not a shadow to be found when Willie emerged today.
Springtime flowers and April showers and Mother Nature’s bounty
Will soon be seen all throughout the beautiful Bruce County

Baby animals, kids on bikes and buds on trees appear.
You can almost feel the fever as the springtime becomes near.
Water rushes over the falls, as the snow begins to fade
People are outside walking as new friendships are being made.
