Applewood Tennis Club Mississauga
We were members of this Tennis club for 6 years, and every year was tougher and tougher to find free court time. All the time courts are very busy performing some club programs and the stuff is extremely unfriendly. During the darkens they would not turn the lights on, and all off the sudden they would turn the light off if you were playing. Many times light would go off by itself, as management purposely made lights malfunctioning. Washrooms are in the disastrous shape, and the Maintenance guy is extremely unfriendly. The club pro is incompetent to teach the kids proper way of playing tennis. He is just sucking money from parents and recreational players. The membership fee is much higher ( $95 adults )than at the other clubs and for Juniors they charge( $60 ) almost as for the adults, although you can not get much of free time for practicing. The better option is Whiteoaks Tennis Club as their membership is much reasonable and affordable for Junior members( $85 adults and $40 Juniors at 8 tennis courts). Stay away of this place, as once you pay for the membership, they would not return your money in case you are not satisfied with conditions. In case you join the club, don't give the Cash Money as they(Management) take it for themselves and don't report as income. The Junior league is also in a very bad shape, as the guy who is leading it doesn't have tennis background and just draining money from parents and the club money collected through the membership. Stay away from this Junior league trap. The better option is to go throughout OTA Junior tennis development with ACE Tennis Academy or ORC Tennis Academy. We put a Half Star rating for this club as it has a wind screen, although Management mounts it pretty late into the season. Anyways, stay away for this place in case you are considering Tennis club this Spring/Summer time.
